Graphs number of groups

Postby gazavat » Thu May 09, 2013 6:09 am

I enjoy the graphs section where you can study Global tendencies for your player pool. However, I have to important requests:

1) Ability to change the number of bar groups. This should be quite easy to implement and almost all analysis software allows for it. In most spots, the grouping is too specific resulting in scattered sample sizes, which is not good for drawing conclusions. I want the ability to reduce the number of bar groups, so that there is more sample data in each group.

2) Custom stats missing from dropdown list of selectable stats. I assume, there is a reason for that, but ability to run graphs on custom stats will be appreciated.

3) Currently, the graphs display the number/percentage of winners/loser/breakeven. Changing the breakeven threshold allows me to differentiate where the big winners are. However, I have no info to account for the magnitude of the losers.
Average bb/100 (or better evbb/100) for each group will allow me to account for the size of the negative winrate in each group. This will be very useful for evaluating the overall profitability of a frequency. Please add that stat to the current 4 hover stats.

(1) That is an interesting suggestion but I don't know internally how easy it would be to make happen. I'll see what I can find out on that.

(2) It might be related to your stats' structure - how are your custom stats built? I see many custom statistics in the Global Player Statistics graph.

(3) If you change the "breakevent at" setting it changes the losers as well. If you make it 10bb/100 that's + or - 10bb/100 so you're seeing bigger losers here also not just bigger winners.

1 Looking forward to your findings.

2 Are you suggesting that all stats should be available in the global statistics dropdown? For example, I do not see winrate statistics, std deviation etc...

3 Thanks for pointing that out. Was not aware that it was an +- interval. Still, we have no info about the top cap of winrate or lossrate, only the bottom cap. The top cap for winrate will be smaller than the cap for the loss rate. Average bb/100 or evbb/100 will provide so much more information regarding how people with such frequencies are performing. I would highly appreciate if this info could be added to the 4 hover stats of each bar.

(2) Any stat which can be shown as a percentage should be on that list I believe.

(3) Also realize you can create an All Players report on the My Reports tab and then sort by any stat you add there - then you can see the players with the highest (and lowest) winrates directly.

2) I definitely have some custom percentage stats that are not displayed. Are there any other restrictions and requirements for custom stats to appear there?

3) Correct, but this is not what I am suggesting. For example, I want to see what is the average winrate of regs that cbet between 50-60%. This can be easily seen from the graphs as long as I have the average bb/100 per group. I believe I cannot do sth similar from reports, filtering for players with certain stat ranges (correct me if wrong). Even if I could, the Graph windows could provide me with great overview of average winrates for regs at EVERY frequency range instead of just one.

(2) The formatting may need to be set to percent and be in the exact form (A / B) * 100 -- if there are changes from that (even a lack of space between * and 100) it may not work.

(3) You can filter like this. Click on the blue Filters link, and click Add Filter Expression. Use the blue Insert link and you can filter to ranges of players that match your desired range. So you could do something like #VPIP# Between 12 and 15 and that will work. You can even go further to like #VPIP# Between 12 and 15 AND #Hands# > 1000 AND ... (and so on). Any stat can be used there in #s, the insert link will help you make sure you get the details of the naming right.

2) Example: WWSFSD by BIll from warehouse does not appear and I believe it fits the criteria and format

3) Thanks, thats a workaround I will use. Still, I believe my suggestion for average bb/100 per group bar would add significant value to the graphs and should be easy to implement.

Thanks for your time and input so far.
