Stop import - how?

How can I stop an import? I want to abort but I cant find a button or anything that let me do that...

Also it says that 888 poker does not appear to be installed but I manually added the HH folder for the import when playing....I play on LuckyAce if thats important.

Also how do I start importing when playing..is it automatically cause I cant find the start import button too...is it the get hands while playing button?

Yes, the Get Hands While Playing button starts getting hands while you play. Once you're doing so, the button changes to Stop Getting Hands (and when pressed will stop getting hands).

There's also a colored arrow at the very bottom right of PT4 that will tell you the status of importing. If it's grey there is no import going on (and mousing over it will tell you this in a tooltip). Red is shown when you are getting hands while playing, and blue is shown when getting hands from disk. You can also right click that spot to start or stop getting hands.

Did a PT4 restart and it now shows the stop getting hands button....the last time it was still showing the get hands from disk button although everytime I tried to import or even close PT4 it gave me a message that an import is still running and I cant do that unless I stop the import..but the stop getting hands button was not working.

Also I deleted the first DB and make a second new one and started importing again...speed is now at 20-25 hands a second although I did not change the import files...so no clue why that is.

Any idea on why it still stay that the 888 software seems not to be installed?

We first look in your documents folder for an 888poker directory. Inside of this directory is a PlayersNotes.ini file that allows to determine where the hand history directory is. If you play on a skin then we probably aren't looking in the right place. If you can give us the exact folder name of the directory you skin creates, the one that contains the .ini file, then we will definitely add it!

I have not located the notes.ini yet but I can give you the folder directory and I guess you will know where it is

its c:users/#username/appdata/roaming/luckyacepoker.com

I searched for the file, and found it. For LuckyAce:

c:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\LuckyAcePoker\SCREENNAME\PlayersNotes.ini

in this file you can find location for HH files.

Got another problem....as I already wrote in here I made a new DB and started importing again...this time I choose to only import a couple of files at a time which went OK the first 3 times I did it...now its stuck with one file for over 15 minutes...thats longer than the previous 42 files all together...every file as 1k hands at the most....it still shows speed/elapsed/remaining as it should but nothing changes..and the view import status shows that it seems to try to adjust session stakes..but doing that for over 15 minutes...I clicked on stop getting hands which worked in a sense that I could click the button...but the speed/elapsed/reamaing still shows the same as it did before...I'm able to click on get hands from disk again but when I choose a file for import it says that a manual import is already running...I also cant exit PT4 now cause it says I have to stop the import first...which I cant.

Wooooppss....after like 20 minutes it does show updating the cache now...does this mean it took PT4 20 minutes to adjust session stakes? Finally went through now...so I guess the question is...since the whole housekeeping is automatic now...do I have to expect this kind of "delay"?

Did the file have a lot of tournament summaries in it? Those do take considerably longer to process.

random: Are you running Windows XP? I'd just like to understand why you and messenjupp have different paths for the same skin.

Sorry...that was my fault...I did assume there is only one folder...never used the playernotes stuff so I just assumed it in the same folder where the whole layout is stored. I just checked and the playernotes ini is in the same folder the other user mentioned...so sorry for the confusion.

I use Windows Vista by the way but I assume thats not necessary anymore.

There is a slight chance that there are some freeroll tourney in there but if thats the case its 100% below 200 hands although I doubt it cause I was exporting the hands manually from HM2 and cant think of me exporting tourney hands as well.
