HUD player-to-seat assignment issue

Postby agustinquinterospkr » Thu Jul 02, 2026 1:12 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing a very unusual HUD issue with PokerTracker 4 on iPoker.

The problem is not that the HUD layout is incorrect. The layout works correctly. The real issue is that the player-to-seat assignment changes from table to table.
For example:
On one table, Hero's HUD is assigned one seat to the left.
On another table, Hero's HUD is assigned directly opposite.
On another table, Hero's HUD is assigned two seats to the right.

The HUD displays the correct player names and statistics, but they are attached to the wrong seats.
What I've already tested:
Created a brand new PT4 database.
Rebuilt the cache.
Used the default PT4 HUD profile.
Re-imported HUD profiles.
Performed Housekeeping.
Completely uninstalled and reinstalled PokerTracker 4.
Tested with the Chico Card Catcher completely uninstalled.

None of these solved the issue.

One interesting observation is that Save Layout only fixes the table currently being corrected. Since every new iPoker table may have a different player-to-seat assignment, the layout cannot permanently solve the problem.

The issue first appeared immediately after installing the Bet Online Card Catcher.

The only partial workaround I've found so far is enabling the option "Does iPoker always seat Hero at the bottom?" in PokerTracker 4's Site Configuration for iPoker.

With that option enabled, the first several iPoker tables I tested displayed the HUD correctly.

However, when I was playing only on iPoker before installing the Bet Online Card Catcher, I'm fairly sure this option had always been unchecked and I never had any HUD assignment problems. This makes me think the behavior changed only after the Card Catcher was installed.

At the moment iPoker seems to be working again after uninstalling the Card Catcher and reinstalling PT4, but my goal is to run both iPoker and BetOnline simultaneously. Since I've already spent several days troubleshooting this issue, I'm hesitant to reinstall the Card Catcher and risk ending up with the same HUD assignment problems again.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what could cause the player-to-seat assignment to change between tables?
Thanks in advance for your response and your time!

iPoker skins auto-center the player so the auto-center option will need to be enabled in PokerTracker 4 when playing on iPoker. If your card catcher (Ace Poker Solutions?) is providing hands in an iPoker format for Chico (which does not have auto-center as far as I am aware since their own manual says auto-center should be disabled) then that's going to conflict with native iPoker support. Also if you are using the same HUD Profile on both sites then any layout changes you make on Chico tables will undo the positions you saved on native iPoker tables and vice versa. If your card catcher can provide hands in a native Chico format you should use that instead so it does not conflict with iPoker. If not you can duplicate your HUD Profile and use the duplicate one one site and the original on the other so HUD layout changes don't change the positions on the other site however you will still need to enable/disable auto-center as required for the site you are playing on at the time.
