Importing database

Postby PrisonMike » Wed Nov 19, 2025 2:04 pm

Im trying to import a large database from hand 2 note. Im using the raw hand history files and the import has slowed to a crawl, its currently importing 3 hands a second. What can i do to speed this up?

If you are using raw hand history files and importing manually then import speeds can drop over large imports so for larger import we recommend splitting those imports into smaller batches rather than importing everything at once. There is also a 'Convert Hand2Note Database' option in PokerTracker 4 which can be accessed via the 'Tools' menu so that may work faster for you. If the issue persists importing a smaller sample turn on 'Enable Logging' in PokerTracker 4 via 'Configure -> Options' and then restart PokerTracker 4. Next reproduce the issue and then create a support bundle via the 'File -> Create Support Bundle' menu option in PokerTracker 4. When that file has been saved attach your support bundle and hand history sample to a Support Ticket.

Apologies - I missed a menu item. Select the 'Tools' menu item followed by 'Setup Assistant' and the 'Convert Hand2Note Database' option is in there.
