Latest version 4.18.14 super slow

Postby SORRYNOW » Mon Sep 22, 2025 6:42 pm

Hello,

I already opened a support ticket but I'd like to know if I am the only one experiencing this.

I have seen in the changelog: Updated PostgreSQL tuner settings for modern systems
But it seems to me this messed up something for me. Now the import is incredibly slow and the HUD doesn't even show up at the tables. Or maybe it shows up at 1 or 2 but it doesn't update while playing.
By the way, I keep getting the attached message as soon as I start the import, but the housekeeeping and the the tuning don't make any difference.

Previous version didn't have this kind of problems at all.

Hi,

It's the same with me. I solved the problem myself by creating a new database. Of course, this is very annoying, because then you have to manually search and import old hands if you want to get to the same state. I hope they solve the problem as soon as possible and release a new version.

I thought about creating a new database, but I don't like it so I hope they fix it soon enough.
Anyway now it takes about 10 seconds to import a hand. It got better but still unacceptable.

For us to investigate this please turn on 'Enable Logging' in PokerTracker 4 via 'Configure -> Options' and then restart PokerTracker 4. Next reproduce this issue and then create a support bundle via the 'File -> Create Support Bundle' menu option in PokerTracker 4. When that file has been saved attach your support bundle to a Support Ticket along with your tuned postgresql.conf file from your C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\x\data folder (where 'x' is your PostgreSQL version). When that's done then via 'Database -> Database Management -> HouseKeeping' there is a 'Revert PostgreSQL Tuning' option and when that's reverted do a full cache rebuild and see if that resolves the issue.

OK, trying the full cache rebuild card right now. I'll update later.

Nope, same thing, about 10 seconds to import a HH.
I also reverted the tuning, same thing.

A technician has since replied to you via your ticket so please follow up with them there.
