Wrong stats in Holdem hand range vizualizer

Postby loosefish » Fri Jul 25, 2025 10:54 am

Hello.

In order to check my opening ranges, I tried to view my PFR% for each initial hand (and a few other filters: BTN, 3way, etc...).

I use the "Holdem hand range vizualizer", and I select "value". Overall, the table looks OK, but I see strange figures (cf. screenshots included).

For example: it finds only 12 hands for AA (out of 9596 hands). It should be around 9596/220=44, or even higher if 9596 is the number of hand for which I raised pf (then, the number of AA should be above 100). Statistically, it cannot be as low as 12.

More importantly: it shows only a 66.7% PFR% for AA.
And when I see the 12 AA hands it retrieved, they were all raised pf (so, the PFR should be 100%).

Where do these strange figures come from? And how can I solve this?

Hello.

I check again and found some answers to my questions...

It seems to me that the number of hands mentionned after "overall PFR" (9596) is the total number of hands with PFR in the database, without consideration of the various filters which are in place (BTN position, type of tournaments etc...) and are used by the hand range vizualizer.
Do you confirm this?
And how can I see the total number of hands (not only the 9596 with a PFR) ?
I found 15779 hands with VPIP, but again, it does not show the hands without VPIP (I estimated the total to 25867 , using the VPIP ratio and the overall VPIP hand number. (but there may be a simpler and more accurate way to have this information).

And regarding the 6 AA hands that are not in the PFR case... I found them by chosing the limp statistic... and understood why they were in this case (e.g., veryshort stack, or against specific profile).

as a conclusion:
the only questions remaining for me are :
- Do you confirm that the number of hands mentionned after "overall PFR" (9596) is the total number of hands with PFR in the database, without consideration of the various filters which are in place (BTN position, type of tournaments etc...) and are used by the hand range vizualizer?
- How can I see the total number of hands (not only the 9596 with a PFR) ?

Correct.

You will not be able to see the total number of hands in the 'Holdem Hand Range Visualizer' report but you can instead see all hands and statistics for each hole card by selecting the 'Summary' report instead and then 'Group By: Starting Hands (Holdem)'.
