Trimming PT4 network usage

I believe my PT v4.18.10 is running normally, thank you, however I need to trim my network usage while playing.

Is there any way to configure PT4 to use less internet while playing without significantly harming performance?

PokerTracker 4 doesn't use internet bandwidth other than a brief connection to our licensing server at startup. With regards to overall network usage that isn't configurable.

I realised it is PostgreSQL 12 consuming network data. Are the later versions of PostgreSQL more, less or similarly data intensive?

I wouldn't expect there to be much difference between versions so if you want to use less network data then playing less tables might help with that. You can also run a database housekeeping to ensure that your database is operating at peak efficiency via 'Database -> Database Management'. Click the 'Housekeeping' button and run the following in this order:

1. Tune PostgreSQL (this only needs to be completed once ever. If this step fails, you can safely skip to step #2)
2. Reindex
3. Cluster
4. Vacuum/Analyze

After the housekeeping is complete rebuild the database cache via 'Rebuild Cache -> Full Cache Rebuild'. This may take some time depending on the size of your database and your computers specs.
