PT4 transfered to a new pc

Postby vquatre » Sun Mar 30, 2025 4:33 pm

Hello,

A few days ago I transfered my PT4 from my old pc to a new one. To do so I uninstalled/reinstalled easily and it worked perfectly to unlock my license.
The problem is I'm stupid af and forgot to export my notes/filters/hud from the old installation.

I'd be very thankful if anyone had a solution to recover the files that contains them.

Thank you.

Do you still have the old PC? Did you create a backup file before uninstalling?

Is PostgreSQL (the program where PokerTracker 4 stores your poker data) still installed on the old PC?

If you still have the old PC and PostgreSQL is still installed you can reinstall PokerTracker 4 there, create a backup of 'User Data Files' under 'Optional Files' and then transfer and restore that to the new PC:

Guide: Backup & Restore

Manual hand/player notes are stored in the database so transferring those will need a backup/restore of the original database(s) or you can export notes separately via the 'Database -> Notes' option.

If you still have the old PC but deleted PostgreSQL you can transfer HUD profiles and filters manually by transferring this folder:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Data

but that will not transfer manually created player/hand notes.
