Rolled back computer and now PT4 won't connect

So I rolled back my computer 2 weeks and now i can't seem to get PT4 to work.

so it asks me to configure, i select, connect, it doesnt work so i press cancel
then it says

so im totally lost

i should add there is a second 'account' POSTgre or whatever in my Timemachine, i tried adding that back in when rolling it back. But i dont think it worked, truthfully im not too sure what has happened,

at this point i just want to get it to work again

i should also note when i try to make a new database it says

i should add that there is something wrong with my postgreSQL as it says it files are missing when i try to restart it.

so uninstalled and reinstalled, now i am able to 'reconfig' using the SQL app, but it still isn't connecting via PT4

Hello, please locate and delete the postmaster.pid file if it is present (not "postmaster.opts" which may be there too).

You can find that file in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\12\data\ although you may have a different PostgreSQL version (e.g. 16) or have it installed in C:\Program Files (x86). Once it's deleted, reboot and try starting PokerTracker 4 again. If that does not help then click your Windows Start button then type the following command:

services.msc

and click on it when it appears. Do you see the PostgreSQL service in the list? Is it started, or can you start it? What is its 'Status' and 'Startup Type'?

i already went to Users previously and got rid of several folders

so now that you know im on mac and see postmaster above, what is my next step? thanks

worst case i can wipe my computer, and reinstall everything, not ideal however

I just wanted to say thanks to Mike and the whole team here at PT.
I am back up and running.

UNREAL guidance and service, wow, cannot recommend enough in terms of a pleasure to deal with troubleshooting.

Mike was patient and was incredible easy to follow.
