So what i want is to put all those hands histories on DVD, i tried to do that but to open that file to make sure that all those hands are still there, windows window comes up saying that it cannot open this file, what do i do to open this file to see what's in there?

What files are you talking about? The old Access database files?
What is working slow? Importing new hands? Please define what you mean by slow.

Ok, everything is workig fine with PT , but i was wondering if i could store those old database files on DVD intead of my computer ,because my husband got like over 100 000 hands in that database ,and i think that is slowing computer down a lot.
and how do you open that old database files if i wan to look into it? icompressed and did the back up

The size of the old database shouldn't matter because it shouldn't be used anymore. It shouldn't be causing any slowdowns. Did you make the new PostgreSQL database the "Dflt" database on the File > Maintain Database Names window?

Read steps 3-5 in the "After PostgreSQL is installed" section of the documentation
http://www.pokertracker.com/products/PT ... InstallSQL

because i have this old database file and i tried to open and it didn't let me

Why didn't it let you?? Was the database not in the list?? If not, then it's because it's already open because you didn't do the steps 3-5 in the PostgreSQL install instructions.
