hi
I'm playing on william hill., I Use vista., PT version 2.17.02
I am moving my processed hands - i have selected the option
BUt PT is really stalling my PC at the moment and I wonder what settings i have incorrect!!??
the import takes place every 3 mins and the text is something like >>
"
success xxxx hands imported
Importing file 18 of 18, please wait...
.
.
Importing file 1 of 18, please wait...
"
does it need to go through all these files each time!!?? PT scans the hand history log files (1234456789.log)

It doesn't sound like the files are being moved.
Are you running PT as administrator? Does Vista prompt you to cancel/allow PT to run every time?
What folder are you telling PT to move the processed files to? Have you checked that folder to see if any new files are being moved there by Poker Tracker?

created c:\processedhands and files are being moved across.
Yes I run PT as admin - run all poker software
no vista doesn't prompt me to cancel/allow.....
note - - there is an error folder in c:\processedhands - with hands that i was dealt cards but left before end of hand

also - in the processed hands folder it appears each text file has a duplicate with "-s" at the end..

Unless you have the UAC turned off, if Vista isn't prompting you to cancel/allow PT to run then you are not running as admin. Do you have the UAC turned off? If you right-click on the PT icon, is there a 'run as administrator' option in the popup menu?

UAC is off - i have a constant windows security alert telling me so./
if i right click PT and go into properties/advanced the "run as administrator" option is selected.
yes there is a run as administrator option in the pop-up menu
i do not get a prompt you to cancel/allow - PT just runs!

I don't know why PT wouldn't be removing the files from the hand history folder after it's copied them to the processed files folder.
Click the Hand History Folder Location button on the auto-import window.
What entries (folders) are listed on this window?
Are you playing other types of games than Hold'em??

importing from C:\Program Files\William Hill Poker\log
That is the only folder listed.
Only playing hold 'em.
I have "treat all hands as 6max" selected -
what about moving hands over manually???
Cheers

Go to the C:\Program Files\William Hill Poker\log folder and under that you should probably see 2 other folders. These I believe are named after you player ID so I'm not sure exactly which one will contain the hand history files, you'll have to experiment.
Click on one of those folders and you should see more sub-folders which basically correspond to each day you have been playing. Do you see a bunch of .log files in any of these sub-folders (like 123456789.log where 123456789 is the game #)? If so, those are the files you would want to move out of there...you could also just move the entire sub-folder as well.

IN THE C:\Program Files\William Hill Poker\log folder threre is only one folder.
This one folder is called XP0398344, within this there are subfolders which correspond to dates (2008042211839128) that have text files in them(not . log files); Shall i just move these Folders??
All the text files appear to be empty - and are 0kb!!!
