Uninstalled PT Doh !

Mistakenly uninstalled PT and trying to recover.

Got download and correct reg key but,

In the preference tab trying to define my player ID. When this window opens first section / drop down menu "Automatically display my stats, my player ID is"; Message says "Don't use this feature"

It means you haven't loaded any hands into this database yet. If you uninstalled PT then your old database file would have been removed too. Did you have any backups? In the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder, what files are there with MDB as the file extension?

No files in there with MDB extension :(

There has to be, make sure you have file extensions turned on...

From the Windows Explorer menu select the Tools option and then select Folder Options.

Click on the View tab.

UNCHECK the box that says "Hide extensions for known files types" and click the Apply button.

You have 2 ptrack_backup.mdb files listed here. Are you sure one of them isn't called just ptrack.mdb?

OK. CLOSE POKER TRACKER.

Rename the ptrack.mdb file to ptrackX.mdb and rename the hhdb.mdb file to hhdbX.mdb

Rename the ptrack_backup.mdb file to ptrack.mdb and rename hhcopy.mdb to hhdb.mdb

Then start PT again and you should see more of your data.

These files you are renaming are backups made prior to the last time you compacted your databases. So they may not contain all your hands, just those prior to the last compact you did but because you uninstalled, the original files got deleted so this is about as good as you can get.
