Import error Stars weird player name

Postby eurythmech » Tue Aug 05, 2008 8:57 am

Hi.

I can't import a tournament history file from Pokerstars because one player is called Mèèèèèrci!! - and apparently PT2 cannot handle this.

Any solutions besides editing the player name and coming up with a new one?

If you are using the latest patch
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4493

PT should still be importing the summary, just not those particular names. If you want to have these names recorded you would have to add them using the File > Tournament Results - Manual Entry > PokerStars window.

What are you saying won't import, the hand histories or the tournament summaries. What is the EXACT error you get?

I try to import the tournament summary file.

FIrst it says it's retrieving "all 179 players" - now it's a 180 man tournament - so I think it doesn't even count this player (or is it me that it doesn't count?).

The error message is as follows:

Unable to determine player name [Text = Mèèèèèrci!] in finish postion 111 for tournament number 91544233.

But that's just a warning message, it does not prevent the rest of the names and the winnings from being imported. Is that not correct?
