Database error

Hi.

When I opened my PT today, it said that an error had occured... I tried several times, without succes. I then tried the repair option, and it worked succesfully.

Unfortunately 20000 hands from the last 7 days of play are now missing.

I saved my old hand history in a seperat folder, and tried to make PT import from the deleted files, but it only imported 2 new hands.

Any inputs on what I could do, to get the HH's back?

Unfortunately I dont remember what it said.

The odd thing is:

If I choose a specific day (yesterday) it shows the 147 players i've been involved with on the left side of the screen.

But there aro no HH for any af the players stored in PT.

So it is a little odd..

Oh, and BTW, if I go to sessions, all my sessions and hands appear, but the "General info" tab is empty....

It sounds then like your db file is corrupted. When did you last backup your database files? If you haven't been doing this, when did last do a compact within PT2?

I compacted the database 2 days prior to the error.

The database is quite new (9/1-08) and contained approx 47000 hands.

The odd thing is that my sessions still are there with the results, but the actual hands are gone.

Open the File > Maintain Database Names window, double-click on the name field for this database entry you are having problems with. It will tell you the file name associated with that file.

Now, close PT. Go to the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder. Is there a file with that same name there that has "_backup" in the file name? There should be because PT would have created this file prior to when you compacted. So rename the original file to something else (i.e. ptrack_bad.mdb) and then rename the backup file removing "_backup" from the name (i.e. make ptrack_backup.mdb = ptrack.mdb)

Then try PT again.
