Browse for folder - not responding

Postby seaweed » Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:50 pm

Hi there,

I posted a while back about a problem I was having with PA hud when trying to configure it for Full tilt.

When I click on prferences and try to tell it the path for the hand historys, the "browse for folders" option window comes up, then it just hangs and i have to use ctrl+alt+delete to regain control of the non responsive programme.

Some advie ive had on pc repair message boards has suggested uninstalling the programme (pahud) and reinstalling, would I be able to do this? how would i go about it? registration codes etc?

Any other advice regarding the problem would be good too!

Kind regards.

If you know the directory that Full Tilt is saving the hands to the easiest thing to do is to edit the C:\Program Files\PokerAce HUD\Data\Config\PAHud.cfg file (you should be able to open it in notepad) and find the section labelled [FullTilt]

If you don't find it, add this at the bottom:
[FullTilt]
Directory1=C:\Program Files\Full Tilt Poker\HandHistory
AutoCenter=N
UseFlickerFree=Y

If you do find it, edit Directory1 to be equal to the directory you have your hand histories saved (Above I listed the default for you).

Save the file, restart PAHUD and the directory should be set properly.

Hi again,

Many thanks for the quick reply!!

I`ll try that and give it a go, as I said on my original post, its not the fault of PAHUD, its a fault with my pc and the browse for folders window, but if this is an alternative method of setting the path for the hand hists then excellent!!!

P.S auto centre - I take it i can set this to "Y"?

Ill give it a go now........... many thanks

Okay, above where it says "AutoCenter=Y" (yes changing that from N to Y is fine, I just pasted from my config file)

Add a line that reads:

Directory1=C:\Program Files\Full Tilt Poker\HandHistory

Save and exit the file, then restart PAHUD and things should be recognized properly now.

Thanks again,

And I can just type this at the bottom of that list? would that be correct?

I think as it shows I have it set to auto center already so thats good, I can change avatars to "N" here too i take it.

Will this not interfere with my other "Directory 1", which is for the crypto site Interpoker?

Many thanks.

It shouldn't as that's under the crypto section and this directory 1 is under the full tilt section. (If it doesn't work though, you can always exit PAHUD and try renaming it to directory6, there won't be any actual damage done here, but I really expect directory1 to function properly for you.)
