'vs Player' not really accurate?

Postby scott1326 » Wed Nov 10, 2010 3:25 am

I want to look through my database and see which villains give me problems so I can try to adapt. I go to the 'vs Player' tab, and I discover that this isn't really an accurate representation of the hands you've played against a particular villain. Losses to a villain are tabulated correctly, but your winnings on this tab include hands where the villain folded preflop, which doesn't really reflect how you interact with this villain. Is there a report or is it possible to write a custom report to do this?

You could add a filter for VP$IP in the Filters section if you want to only see data from hands you voluntarily put money in.

I actually want to see hands where villain has put money in, ie, both villain and hero.

That you'd have to do as a custom report, then. You did win money from Villain if he put in the BB then folded to your raise, so we do count those as hands you won money from him. Building that filter is actually quite complicated though I'll need to think about the best way to do it.

Here's a different problem with the "vs Player" statistics. It seems that my "Amt Won From" in the summary isn't being added up correctly, at least for one opponent. In the summary it shows my "Amt Won From" versus this opponent as $15.10; however, if you look at the detailed hands, I actually won ("Net") $25.98 from this opponent in just one hand, so my total "Amt Won From" should be much higher than $15.10.

I can send you a screenshot, but couldn't figure out how to add it to this message.

The reports currently shows the size of the pots, rather than the amount won from each player. This is in our system to be fixed.
