Creating variable

Postby rrobbert2 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 2:20 pm

Hi there
Is it possible to create a variable?
That's what I want to do: creating variable A such that A = VPIP-PFR.
Then I will use A to categorize players according to their aggressiveness in the auto rate

Thanks Michael

You could create a stat to do that. Duplicate one or other of those stats and copy the expression from the other, and subtract it.

Click Configure --> Configure Statistics. Highlight the Holdem Cash Player Statistics (or Tourney if that's what you're playing) line and go to the Stats tab. Click on the stat you want and click the Dup button to duplicate it. You can then edit it and save it as a new stat but start with the data from your original stat.

You'll probably want to start with VPIP but you'll also want to look at PFR to see what to subtract - what you care about most is the information in the Value Expression. The rest is mostly cosmetic (though you'll want to change the Title on the Format tab as that's what comes in as the column header in a report, and the description so that the tooltip will display the proper information).

Thank you. It works very well.
I can now categorize aggressive <.65 and passive >= .65
