Too many open files?

Hi,
PT3 under MacOS stops importing after one hour of hard playing, because I see in log file messages like these:

Is it some simple thing that could be tunes somewhere at operating system options?
However, it seems like file handles leak, so no matter of static limit, it will be reached.

After stop/start autoimport, it work normally.
If you need my logs, I could upload it in Support Ticket.

Effect is stable, it was 2 times today already..

There's no need to keep HH file handle open, if last hand was 30 minutes ago.
A (tuneable) timeout should be implemented to close file handle and, if set, move processed file into archive folder.
Note: HM has such a timeout - its much better than to overflow open file handles amount.

And just it happens for the 3rd time.
Overall I played 620 tourneys today, and three times it was "Too many open files" error in logs, and I had import successfully stopped/started. No PT3 restart was required.
It means each 200 tourneys I have to restart import - rather inconvenient.

I will make sure that our lead Mac developer sees this, but I think there is a known issue handling large numbers of files in Mac OS.

i used to use pt3 with pokerstars without any issues but had a period playing ongame and stopped using it. I have now returned to pokerstars but it didn't work. i have updated to pt v3.12.1 but when trying to import i get the same error as before i updated.
Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: Unsupported database type: PokerTracker 3 Database ()
looked thru the forums for answers but am a little stuck. i have postgreSQL 8.4 but do not know how to update to v9 if necessary.

Are you also on a Mac as lumst is, or are you using Windows?

Also, please upgrade to our latest beta verison - 3.13.9 - available on our download page - downgrading can cause this kind of error.
