Database contains hands that are over the allowed limit

Postby WestEarn » Mon Mar 19, 2012 11:46 am

Hello,

I've purchased Holdem Micro stake version.

I've just 24 sng $0.5, and 5000 hands of NL2 ($0.01/$0.02) in the database...

Anyway, on each start of PT3, the error message below occurs:

The active database contains hands or tournaments that are over the allowed limit

What is the problem?

Thanks

That is because while you were using the trial you imported either a tournament above $11 or a cash game hand above $.50NL. You can safely ignore that warning. Once you've moved up in limits and are looking to upgrade to the full version, those hands will show again in your database - the notification is just to tell you where they went.

Thanks for your answer.

I've never play any other games than NL2, and SNg 0.5$. I have not the Bankroll for higher games...

Hope my PT3 is not corrupted...

There could be observed hands too (for some sites) - are you absolutely sure there isn't even a single hand for a higher limit?

Yes, I'm sure. I have kept the HH text files, I've just right now carefully watch them, and they are all under the limit.

I've never observed any games other than my limits.

It's OK, I've found the problem.

I've purchased Holdem PT3 while I was testing the trial of Holdem and Omaha.

So, my Holdem PT3 has been registered, but not my Omaha PT3.

Normally, it remains 45 days of trial for Omaha. But as soon as I've purchased Holdem version, Omaha has been blocked and my 45 days of trial ended. And I had Omaha hands in PT3 collected during trial. It is the problem origin.

I've used SQL Manager for PGSql and I've truncate all Omaha tables. Now, no more error message about the limit.

Summary:
1- The error message is not the right one for this case and it drives the customer to the wrong way for understand the trouble.. It is not a problem of limit but a problem of game kinds.
2- It's a shame to lost the Omaha trial when you purchase Holdem version...

Thank you for following up - is it not possible that you played a higher limit Omaha game?

No:

select distinct amt_bb from omaha_limit

Result : just one row: 0.05

That is odd - and what is the result of that query on the holdem_limit table?
