HUD is not doing well on 888

Postby arystyp » Sun Feb 20, 2011 6:51 pm

Hello,
I have hudge problem with HUD.
There is no way it works well. And I discovered what's wrong- despite my thoughts about preffered seats it's something different.
So- when I open a table (play on 888.com) HUD starts working but:
1. Sometimes there is one HUD few than players
2. No matter what I do, HUD reads the positions badly e.g right position for a player is two places behind it
3. After setting manually it works but when I close all the window and open others, the problem is back

I was trying to use preffered seat as well as save layout. Nothing works, HUD badly read the positions etc.

Please give me some advice.

Please check the Troubleshooting section of the Tutorial: Preferred Seating which explains how to correct this in most cases.

But I have checked it out and no advice helped me.

What does "The "Auto Centre" option remains initially in case not all 888 skins have updated to the full Preferred Seating option."
exactly mean? Is it possbile that my skin does not work properly with PT3? I checked the different seats (2, 4, 5 and 8 both for 9 max and 10 max) and the problem remains. Main problem is that stats appears for everyone but the positions are not proper. Stats are near the players after doing "save layout" but very often they are well for the next player and not for the nearest to the stat.

Which skin will do for 100% well with preffered seating? Maybe I will change it. I use the first of the choice of table layouts (the dark blue one).

What's more, I turned on 888 and PT3 on my netbook, where both PT and 888 are in older versions (PT3 3.0.8.1 and 888 I think also older than actual but I don't know). Nothing set up in PT3 about preffered seating and everything works fine, HUD is working very well.

Im using beta version. Can it be the reason?

The latest beta version of PT3 (3.09.3) has the full complement of Preferred Seating options for 888 - please make sure you're on that version. You can find it on our download page.

Im sure that it's the newest version.

But why on PT3 8.0.8.1 everything is fine WITHOUT setting preffered seat (I've just made it at 888 client and nothing in HUD there is no preffered seat either for 10 seat or 9 seat table)?

I don't know what changed to make things not work properly for you - you can set preferred seat to None in the 888 Poker Configuration tab and that should go back to the same functionality before a preferred seat was selected.

Ok, now it's more less well working. But still I have 6 tables and 2 of them have the HUD looks badly.

Can it be linked to the table resizing?

If you click PT Icon --> Reset on the tables that don't look good, does that help any?

The boxes should be relocated reasonably well when the table resizes - if you resize the table does it look better?

Nothing happens after reset, what is more, after reset the wrong stats positions remain.

Now I can have nice table if I do everything manually. Main problem is that stats are wrong located (stat location=real location+1 so for MP1 HUD shows proper stat for MP2 ) plus in one or two places, the stats are one on the another (two in one place) and I have to move them manually.

Please anyone check it out, maybe it's a bug which has to be removed.
Commercial software should avoid such bugs!
